Service Technician (Heavy Duty Vehicle)

Gateway Search is proud to work with one of international leading organizations specializing in the defense and security sectors. With the business expanding in Singapore, they are currently looking to bring on board qualified Service Technicians:

1. Electrical Service Technician
2. Mechanical Service Technician

Duties include a full range of technical repair, overhauling on components, diagnosis and preventive maintenance services on heavy vehicles. The goal is to drive service success that improves customer satisfaction, maximizes customer retention and increases productivity.

• Evaluate, disassemble, assemble, test, and repair of Electrical/Mechanical Systems, Hydraulic and Pneumatic components.
• Execute assembling and disassembling works on the heavy duty vehicles such as; Engine, gearbox, transferase, axles, cabin, winches etc.
• Execute retrofitting tasks by using provided technical drawings and SOW.
• Use resources such as sales programs, and electronic parts catalogues to source and find information such as spare part numbers and workshop repair information.
• Use special tools to perform repairs more efficiently.
• Follow the work instructions of the manufacturer by using the repair and service manual.
• Diagnose electrical errors by using OEM provided diagnosis computer or execute technical assessments on failing systems and determine proper corrective repair solutions.
• Carefully handling workshop equipment and personalized tools.
• Housekeeping, maintaining quality service and safety procedures.

• NTC 3 certificate holder in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of working experience (Truck, heavy duty vehicle division) in the repairing and maintaining of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read blueprints or technical diagrams.
• Good interpersonal skills and communication skills.
• Customer-oriented and able to work with others to resolve customer complaints.
