JOB SCOPE & JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Basic and detailed design of Single Line Diagram, electrical switchgear, MCC, electrical distribution system, lighting, lightning protection, earthing etc.
- Design sizing, calculation and selection for cable, breaker, transformers, UPS, VFD, capacitor, generator, etc. to support proposals team and projects team.
- Preparation of project documents including technical proposal, design basis, load list, cable schedule, cable routing, switchroom layout, load flow, fault and short circuit study, harmonic analysis, IOM manual, etc.
- Preparing specifications and datasheet for RFQ and review offers from vendors for compliance to technical specification, compliance with codes and regulation including SS 638.
- Establishing and managing schedule for design inputs for BIM modelling
- Working with BIM modeler for E&ICA modelling, such as, equipment, cable trays, main cables, power, lighting and lightning, earthing, panels, supports, etc.. Performing BIM modelling independently if required.
- Planning and Leading BIM model walkthrough/reviews for E&ICA.
- Consolidation and report of BIM model status and progress.
- Design coordination with other disciplines. Model space coordination and clash management for E&ICA items.
- Generation of layout, details and isometrics from BIM model and prepare drawings for submission and approval, such as instrument location, cable tray routing, cable routing, panel location, room layout, etc..
- Managing tags in BIM model. Generate MTOs and item lists in and from BIM model or by manual estimate.
- Check, review, update, and managing status of vendor data in BIM model. Coordination with suppliers on design data inputs.
- Prepare and review E&ICA 2D drawings and design sketches, such as, system architectures, schematics, loops, wiring, hook-ups, wiring, installation detail, supports, etc..
- Prepare documentation for submission and supporting project team on plant start-up, performance test, optimization and hand-over.
- Degree in Electrical engineering or equivalent.
- Familiarity with project design software such AutoCAD, Bentley, Revit, Plant 3D, CADWORX, Navisworks is advantageous.
- Minimum 3 years work experience in process plants or in the water/wastewater industry, with good knowledge in electrical design of water and/or wastewater treatment plants.
- Proficiency in electrical system software such as ETAP is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with project design software such AutoCAD, Bentley, Revit, Plant 3D, CADWORX, Navisworks is advantageous.
