Urgent: Deputy Design Manager, Geotechnical (MNC/West)

Responsibilities:

• Support the Design Manager in overseeing the design team.
• Lead, mentor, and provide training to junior engineers.
• Understand, interpret, and manage client requirements effectively.
• Coordinate with external stakeholders to prepare technical proposals for projects.
• Ensure all designs adhere to regulations, engineering codes, standards, and best practices.
• Review and monitor design deliverables to ensure accuracy and timely completion.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues arising from incidents.
• Review project closure reports with internal stakeholders and recommend improvements to mitigate future risks.
• Develop “Design & Build” solutions, including ground improvement methods where applicable.
• Provide technical marketing support to present solutions to clients and consultants.
• Conduct regular site visits to train, guide, and gain buy-in from site personnel, while promoting quality and good practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering, recognized by PEB.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), AutoCAD, Plaxis 2D, and Plaxis 3D.
• Engage actively in engineering societies and contribute technical papers at conferences.
• Participate in global expert groups to share knowledge and expertise.
