Inside Sales Engineer

Advantech is currently looking for a Senior Aonline Sales Engineer to drive digital sales initiatives by combining technical expertise with strong customer engagement skills. This role focuses on understanding customer requirements and accelerating sales through online channels.

Reporting of the role:

This role reports to the Aonline Sales Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for professionally handling customer enquiries and providing timely responses.
  • Prepare and present quotations, recommending suitable products and technical solutions aligned with customer requirements.
  • Conduct engaging product presentations to effectively showcase features, benefits, and value to customers.
  • Follow up on quotations and order coordination to establish high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Proactively drive lead generation, prospecting, and account management with a resourceful and independent approach.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to support online campaigns and expand the customer pipeline.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, project pipeline, and sales activities in CRM systems.
  • Stay updated on product knowledge, industry trends, and competitor offerings.

Industry Experiences (Any one of these industry):

  • Familiar with the Industrial Equipment manufacturers, Industrial Automation market or Factory Automation and Environment monitoring, Transportation and Surveillance.
  • Familiar with the Applied and Embedded Computing markets e.g. Equipment makers, Smart Cities, Surveillance, Military, Edge Analytics, Retail and Logistics fields.
Requirements
  • Candidate must possess Diploma/Bachelor's Degree, in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of corporate sales experience in the Industrial PC, Embedded Computing and/or Industrial IoT. Strong technical aptitude and good business acumen.
  • Self-motivated, analytical, team player and able to work independently
  • Bilingual with good communication and presentation skills
  • Engineers or individuals with good computer hardware knowledge who wish to go into sales field will be considered for Inside Sales Engineer.
