Cyber Security Engineer - Geylang
The Company
We are seeking a talented and proactive Cybersecurity Engineer to join a forward-thinking security team within a global organization. The ideal candidate will bring expertise across multiple areas of security engineering, including cloud security, endpoint protection, and threat detection.The role is especially focused on securing AWS environments and enhancing SOC capabilities to ensure the organization's systems and data remain safe from emerging threats.
The Role
Cloud Security Engineering:
- Spearhead the security initiatives within the AWS cloud environment, ensuring all configurations are secure and optimized.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement AWS-specific security policies and best practices.
- Ensure AWS security standards are on par with existing Azure security protocols, guiding the organization toward a unified security approach across cloud platforms.
Endpoint and Threat Detection:
- Lead efforts to strengthen endpoint security, leveraging cutting-edge tools and technologies to protect devices across the organization.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate potential threats by conducting regular threat hunting activities.
- Monitor and improve network security practices to safeguard against potential vulnerabilities and ensure system integrity.
SOC and Log Optimization:
- Work closely with the SOC team to enhance threat detection capabilities, fine-tuning log ingestion and reducing false positives.
- Help refine the signal-to-noise ratio, ensuring that security alerts are actionable and aligned with organizational priorities.
Email Security Management:
- Play a key role in optimizing the organization's email security platform, including Proofpoint, as part of an ongoing migration to a unified security environment.
- Identify security gaps within the email environment and implement improvements to strengthen protection against phishing and other malicious attacks.
Your Profile:
- At least 5 years of experience in information security, with a focus on cloud security, endpoint protection, and threat hunting.
- In-depth experience securing AWS environments and implementing cloud security policies.
- Strong hands-on experience with security tools such as CrowdStrike, Proofpoint, Tenable, and AlienVault.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a SOC environment, optimizing log management and enhancing security visibility.
- Expertise in AWS cloud security, with a solid understanding of AWS services, security configurations, and best practices.
- Proficiency in endpoint security, network security fundamentals, and threat hunting techniques.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
