Underwriter/Senior Underwriter (Marine, Commercial Lines)

Mon-Fri: Office hrs
Underwriter Executive: $4,500-$6,500 per month

Senior Underwriter: $6,000-$7,000 per month

Job Scope:

Develop and review underwriting guidelines to ensure alignment with the company's risk appetite and strategic direction.
Recommend appropriate authority delegations to support sound underwriting decisions.
Monitor portfolio performance and propose strategies for underwriting improvements.
Evaluate and provide recommendations on new product approvals and referral cases.
Advise on treaty and facultative reinsurance strategies to optimize risk management.
Conduct technical training sessions to upskill underwriting and related staff.
Design and implement underwriting tools and resources to enhance operational efficiency and consistency in decision-making.

Requirements:

Recognised degree in Business or a related discipline
Professional insurance certifications: BCP, ComGI, PGI is a must; ACII qualification will be an added advantage
Minimum of 3-8 years’ relevant experience in underwriting both commercial and personal lines
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Excellent command of written and spoken English
Singaporeans only
