Shipping Officer (Air Freight)

• Input data of every import shipment (consolidation or direct) in Kewill Enterprise Forwarding (KEF) system.
• Notify consignees or their appointed forwarders of shipments' arrival via phone or email.
• Calculate the terminal and air freight charges for import shipment released to the consignees or their forwarders.
• Release import document (AWB, Invoice & Packing List) to the consignees or their forwarders.
• Collect payment of terminal and air freight charges from the consignees or their forwarders.
• Apply cheque advance/e-payment for payment of terminal and airfreight charges to the terminal or other forwarder.
• Manifest submission within 7 days of shipment arrival.
• Ensure correct type of import permit, accuracy, and compliance in Tradenet declaration.
• Issue delivery order, confirm delivery address, and arrange delivery with appointed contractor.
• Prepare invoice with KEF.
• Hand over the completed jobs to Account Section on time for monthly accounts closing.
• Compliance with Integrated Management System (IMS) requirements.

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least O" Level
• Minimum 1 year of experience in shipping industry.
• Knowledge of Air Freight import documentations, Singapore shipping procedure & freight forwarding experience
• Responsible and committed team player
• Motivated individual and possesses good planning and follow-up skills
• Able to handle high volume of workload in a fast-paced environment
• Immediate Starter will be an added advantage.
