We are looking for a proactive Procurement Specialist (Contract) to support endtoend procurement activities across the organisation. The role will initially focus on purchasing for the Corporate Office (including Marketing, Technology, and Professional Services), with opportunities to support selected power plant procurement categories such as spare parts, services, and operational requirements.
This role is suitable for candidates at different stages of their procurement career from fresh graduates with strong learning potential to experienced professionals seeking handson experience in a dynamic operating environment. The exact procurement portfolio may be aligned with the individual's experience, strengths, and development potential.
Qualifications
Key Responsibilities- Support and manage endtoend procurement activities including RFQs/RFPs, evaluations, negotiations, and purchase order issuance.
- Handle purchasing and sourcing for Corporate Office categories such as marketing services, IT/software, professional services, and general spend.
- Support procurement activities for selected power plant requirements, which may include maintenance spare parts, consumables, OEM equipment, or services.
- Work closely with vendors and internal stakeholders (including corporate, engineering and operations functions) to understand requirements and deliver timely and effective procurement outcomes.
- Use electronic systems (i.e. sourcing and finance platforms) to manage purchase progress, ensure complete and accurate data records, and analyse spending behaviour.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, governance frameworks, safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with supplier coordination, performance monitoring and resolving delivery or commercial issues.
Other Information
Requirements- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline
- 2-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in technology, utilities, power generation, or industrial environments
- Handson experience with ERP systems is an advantage but not compulsory
- Strong communication, commercial and stakeholder management skills
- Organised, detailoriented, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fastpaced environment
- Hands on involvement in procurement activities that create commercial value, beyond administrative support
- Exposure to both corporate indirect spend and engineering procurement
- Develop skills on the job with guidance from experienced team members
