Electrical Site Engineer (Switchgear)

• Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Site Engineer to provide technical and site support for switchgear projects. You will be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from tendering and design coordination to installation, testing, and commissioning.

• Key Responsibilities
• Provide engineering and on-site technical support for assigned projects
• Prepare tender submissions, participate in project kick-off meetings, and coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams
• Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers on technical specifications, quotations, and drawings
• Work closely with sales and engineering teams to ensure project objectives are achieved
• Coordinate with factory and clients on Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)
• Manage site activities, including installation, testing, and commissioning
• Ensure smooth communication between site, factory, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
• Provide feedback to engineering and factory teams to support product improvements
• Conduct client training and support project handover
• Stay updated on industry trends and technological developments in switchgear and transformers
• Support ad-hoc projects as assigned

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in switchgear or related industrial environments (construction, plant, or process industries)
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, switchgear, and transformers
• Experience in project coordination and site management
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
• Organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Willing to travel for project support when required
