Operations junior executive (permanent/full-time) - Geylang

SLAM manages several funds and mandates, primarily focused on Asian public markets. The investment style is based on fundamental bottom-up research, with a strong focus on direct engagement with target companies and management teams.
The Middle Office Operations Junior Executive would be working directly with all members of the team, including team members based in London. Key responsibility supporting the front Office in Singapore, liaising with Middle/Back Office colleagues in London office to hand over the day-to-day work and in developing and maintaining robust processes and to provide information to both internal and external clients as required.
This role does offer the opportunity to grow over time, working alongside mid-level and senior colleagues in middle office, risk, corporate affairs, and compliance. The successful applicant will play a role in the development and continuous improvement of our processes, controls and reporting deliverables.
Key responsibilities will cover:
- Oversee the end-to-end trade lifecycle for equities, fixed income and derivatives
- Liaise with brokers and custodians to resolve traded breaks, settlement issues and operational discrepancies in a timely manner
- Perform daily reconciliation of positions and cash across internal and external systems
- Handle general fund administration tasks relating to fund subscriptions and redemptions
- Perform office administrative support
- Carry out any other duties and responsibilities given by Management

Requirements:
The candidate should have a strong attention to detail, take personal ownership of their work, and be familiar with the fund management industry. The following would help with the daily requirements of the job:
- a Higher Nitec / Polytechnic level academic qualification or equivalent, with an authorization to work in Singapore
- keen interest in fund or portfolio accounting
- a team player who is detailed-driven, responsible, and proactive
- deadline-oriented to meet time-sensitive reporting requirements
- ability to work independently
