Bukit Merah - Credit Risk Officer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Independent Credit Evaluation

• Review and analyze credit applications submitted by relationship managers or business units.
• Provide an unbiased and professional credit opinion.
• Ensure proposals comply with:
• Regulatory requirements
• Bank’s internal credit policies
• General underwriting and risk standards

1. Credit Review and Recommendations: Analyze credit proposals and offer recommendations to support the bank's credit decision-making process.
2. Industry Analysis and Reporting: Prepare industry reports to inform credit assessments and monitor sector-specific risks.
3. Stress Testing and Credit Monitoring: Conduct stress tests to assess the resilience of credit portfolios under various scenarios and monitor existing credit exposures for potential risks.
4. Policy Manual Updates: Regularly update credit policy manuals to reflect changes in regulations, market conditions, and internal risk appetite.

1. Educational Background: A recognized degree in a relevant field.
2. Professional Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in a credit risk or credit analyst role within a banking environment
3. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to effectively convey credit assessments and collaborate with stakeholders.
4. Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build strong, open, dialogue-based relationships with colleagues across departments.
5. Work Ethic: Demonstrated capability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changing priorities in an unpredictable environment.
6. This role is integral to maintaining the bank's credit quality and ensuring that lending practices are sound and compliant with both internal and external standards
