Job Description & Requirements of Healthcare Assistant
As a Healthcare Assistant, you are required to perform the following duties:
- Assist non-ambulant and semi-ambulant residents with their toilet needs and mobility.
- Bathe frail residents and those who need assisted showering.
- Shave and cut hair for residents regularly and trim their fingernails and toenails weekly.
- Supervise and assist residents to wash their hands before each meal.
- Report injured or unwell residents to the Duty Officer and nursing staff; and accompany residents to hospital and polyclinic for their medical appointments.
- Accompany residents for outings and brisk walk.
- Serve food and drinks to residents at mealtimes and to wash their utensils after meals.
- Clean and disinfect the residents' dormitories and general areas daily.
- Perform any other duties as directed by their supervisor and Duty Officers.
