Our client is a government-affiliated organisation that promotes regional Japanese products and tourism. This role supports the promotion of goods and inbound tourism, particularly from Okinawa Prefecture, across Singapore and the ASEAN region.

The position combines B2B sales, event coordination, and administrative support with cultural and tourism promotion.

This position will report directly to the Singapore Office Manager.

【 Responsibilities 】
  • Promote products from Okinawa Prefecture to wholesalers, distributors, and food and beverage establishments in Singapore and ASEAN.
  • Conduct regular visits to existing and potential clients to build and maintain strong business relationships.
  • Represent the organisation at trade shows and exhibitions (primarily in English) to showcase Okinawan products.
  • Support event logistics, including coordination and transportation of goods and materials.
  • Assist in promoting international exchange initiatives related to culture, tourism, and business between Okinawa Prefecture and assigned regions.
  • Plan and support marketing and promotional campaigns to raise awareness of Okinawa as a tourism destination.
  • Organise and attend Okinawa-related events, approximately 1–2 times per month (some events may be held on weekends; time off in lieu will be provided).
  • Manage administrative tasks such as creating promotional materials, liaising with tourism partners, and preparing reports.
  • Travel approximately once per month to ASEAN countries, India, Australia, or Okinawa for short business trips (around 3 nights).
  • Coordinate closely with the Japanese headquarters to ensure alignment with overall promotional strategies.
  • Collaborate with local colleagues and communicate with stakeholders in both English and Japanese.
  • Perform basic accounting and reporting tasks related to sales and promotional activities.

【Requirements & Preferences】

(Must)
  • Diploma in any discipline
  • Proficiency in Japanese (JLPT N2 or equivalent), with strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise with Japanese-speaking counterparts via email and meetings
  • Willing to work on weekends for events (time off in lieu will be provided)
  • Strong interest in Japanese culture and regional products
  • Willing to travel once per month to ASEAN countries, India, Australia, or Okinawa for short business trips (approximately 3 nights)
  • Inexperienced candidates are welcome to apply
  • Comfortable with assisting in event setup and logistics.

  • Prior experience in sales, tourism promotion, or event coordination
  • Familiarity or connections with Okinawa Prefecture would be an advantage
