JOB PURPOSE
To provide operational support across data center and infrastructure operations, IT asset lifecycle management. This role ensures the stability of critical infrastructure while maintaining accurate asset records and supporting frontline IT infrastructure needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Data Center Support
Provide escort and supervision of maintenance personnel during routine data center servicing
Provide 24/7 (including weekends and Public Holidays) monitoring and response for data center facilities infrastructure to meet Client's operational requirements
Respond swiftly to system alerts and alarms, troubleshooting and resolving issues. To arrive onsite within two (2) hours together with Client-appointed Contractor at data center if immediate attention is required
Maintain the data center environment within optimal parameters (temperature, humidity, airflow) to ensure equipment stability.
Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the data center
Control access to the data center, ensuring only authorized personnel are allowed entry
Perform a monthly review of card access transaction logs
IT Asset Management
Maintain accurate inventory records for hardware and software licenses
Managing software procurement/licensing
Track asset lifecycle (deployment, transfers, refreshes, decommissioning)
Conduct periodic review and reconcile discrepancies
Manage warranty and support contracts for IT equipment
Process software requests, license procurement and renewals
General Infrastructure Support
Provide Tier 1-2 infrastructure support
Identify opportunities to automate or streamline repetitive tasks
REQUIREMENTS
Experience: 5+ years in data center ops, IT asset management or EUC support
Ability to work independently and beyond normal working hours and weekends
Strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities
Strong organizational and detail-oriented approach
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and to work under pressure to meet deadlines and service level agreements
Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and reliability in system configuration, documentation and procedures
Good problem-solving and analytical skills
Preferably with technical understanding of data center infrastructure (Power and Cooling, Fire Suppression system, Environment Monitoring system, Water Leak Detection system, etc)
Familiar with ITSM tools (e.g ServiceNow, Jira)
Basic knowledge of endpoint management (Intune, SCCM) is a plus
