Logistics Engineer / Planner

AIM Advisory is seeking an analytical and hands-on Logistics Engineer / Planner to join our growing team in Singapore. We specialise in the operational design and planning of major healthcare infrastructure and complex hospital developments across Singapore, Australia, Malaysia and the Asia Pacific.

You will play a critical role in defining the operational backbone of these facilities - from initial departmental sizing and stacking strategies to mapping complex material, staff, and waste flows. You will work closely with architectural teams and clinical planners to ensure macro-flows and spatial allocations are operationally efficient, compliant and future-proof.

What You Will Do:

  • Operational Sizing & Strategy: Develop calculated area requirements (SOAs) and functional briefs for critical back-of-house and support departments (e.g., Loading Docks, Waste Management, CSSD, Pharmacy, Kitchen and Supply),
  • Macro-Flow Optimisation: Map and optimise complex campus-wide logistics flows
  • including clean goods, waste streams, linen, catering, and Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs)
  • to eliminate operational bottlenecks and prevent cross-contamination,
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Lead stakeholder engagement meetings with Users and operational executives. You will present operational strategies, validate assumptions, and ensure design outcomes align with best-practice logistics constraints,
  • Systems Integration: Develop and coordinate operational models for automated systems, pneumatic tube networks, and vertical/horisontal transport strategies,
  • Code Compliance: Ensure all logistics strategies and spatial allocations strictly align with the Health Facility Guidelines as applicable and any other relevant regulations.

How You Fit the Team:

You are the analytical engine behind the facility's operations. While clinical planners handle the micro-level internal room layouts, you dictate how the entire facility connects and operates by providing the essential macro-flows, functional briefs, and spatial data.

You will work directly alongside AIM's logistics practice leader and internal architectural team to coordinate design and operational intent from concept through to detailed design.

You will be supported by a high-performance team, including project managers, process engineers, and administrative support.

Requirements:

  1. Experience: Experience in logistics engineering or planning, ideally within complex infrastructure, like healthcare, is preferred but applications with little to no experience will be considered,
  2. Technical: Strong data analysis capabilities with the ability to translate operational metrics into concrete spatial requirements,
  3. Specialty: An understanding or interest in the planning of complex healthcare support departments. Familiarity with healthcare-specific operations (Pharmacy, CSSD, Mortuary, Waste Management) is highly regarded,
  4. Regulatory: Familiarity with health facility guidelines standards or similar major infrastructure regulatory guidelines is also highly regarded but not essential,
  5. Soft Skills: Highly developed stakeholder management and communication skills. You must be able to confidently manage expectations, defend spatial calculations, and articulate complex operational concepts to non-technical end users.

If you are a Logistics Engineer/Planner, or someone interested in this field, ready to step into the planning phase of major national and international infrastructure projects and shape how these facilities operate from the ground up, please submit your CV and cover letter.
