Events Technician

Job Purpose

The Events Technician supports the setup, operation, and maintenance of audio, visual, lighting, and effects equipment for events. This role requires hands-on technical skills, flexibility in working hours, and the ability to work in various environments.

• Assist in the rigging, setup, operation, and dismantling of audio, visual, lighting, and effects equipment for events
• Perform proper cable management to ensure safety and efficiency
• Carry out basic electrical works related to event setups
• Conduct basic maintenance and care of audio, visual, and lighting (AVL) equipment
• Support basic woodworking tasks for event staging, props, or structures
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and event operational requirements
• Support the events team in ad-hoc technical and operational duties as required

Work Requirements

The role requires flexibility and commitment, including the ability to:

• Work at least 5 days a week, including at least 1 day over the weekend
• Work long and irregular shift hours when required
• Work on public holidays and weekends
• Work outdoors and in different weather conditions

• Basic technical knowledge or experience in events, AV, lighting, or stage operations
• Willingness to perform hands-on and physical work
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable with manual physical tasks
