Our client is an associate firm of an established accounting practice located in the CBD of Singapore. They deliver a comprehensive suite of corporate services — including corporate secretarial, accounting advisory, payroll, and cash management — to a broad spectrum of clients both locally and internationally.Their Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) division is a dynamic and growing team that values commitment, professionalism, and a collaborative approach to client service.
What you'll be doing?- Managing a client portfolio — Take ownership of a portfolio of clients receiving accounting, payroll, cash management, GST, and other compliance services, ensuring seamless and high-quality delivery across all engagements.
- Supporting client accounting operations — Work closely with the team in the preparation of clients' accounts, reviewing quarterly GST returns, and overseeing other essential accounting functions to maintain accuracy and consistency.
- Leading and developing the team — Provide hands-on supervision, guidance, and training to a team of associates, fostering a supportive environment where people can learn, grow, and perform at their best.
- Upholding service excellence — Champion the firm's service standards and take accountability for ensuring that all client reporting deadlines are met without compromise.
- Taking on advisory assignments — Bring your expertise to bear on ad-hoc advisory projects from time to time, broadening the value delivered to clients and the wider practice.
- Accounting qualification — A minimum Diploma in Accounting or an equivalent qualification forms the foundation expected for this role.
- Substantial relevant experience — At least 5 years of experience with a public accounting firm or in a comparable BPO environment is sought, bringing the depth of knowledge needed to lead client engagements confidently.
- Self-driven and efficient — The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities efficiently is essential in this fast-paced, client-focused environment.
- Strong technical knowledge — A solid understanding of GST and Financial Reporting Standards (FRS) is important for overseeing the quality and compliance of client deliverables.
- Accounting software proficiency — Working knowledge of Xero and/or MYOB is advantageous and will support effective oversight of the team's day-to-day work.
- Working Hours: Mon to Fri, 9am - 6pm
