Technical Support Officer- Contract (Pharmaceutical & Biomedical Science)

Job Description

We are seeking a Technical Support Officer to support laboratory classes, workshops, and events within the Pharmaceutical & Biomedical Science (PBS) cluster. This role involves providing hands-on technical and operational support to ensure the smooth running of practical sessions and laboratory activities.

• Provide technical support for laboratory classes, workshops, and events
• Assist academic staff in supervising students or participants during practical activities
• Prepare, set up, and ensure laboratory equipment and materials are ready and functional before sessions
• Support lecturers with demonstrations and conduct trial runs for practical classes
• Handle administrative duties, including procurement and receiving of laboratory items
• Assist with annual stock take of laboratory assets
• Perform basic troubleshooting of equipment and coordinate with vendors for repair works when required
• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety procedures, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials
