Overview
This role acts as a key link between Finance and Technology teams, translating business requirements into meaningful reports, dashboards, forecasting models, and data-driven insights.
The successful candidate will work closely with finance stakeholders, business users, and technical teams to analyse financial and operational data from ERP systems, databases, and other business applications. This position is well suited for professionals with strong accounting knowledge, reporting expertise, and experience supporting system transformation projects.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain financial reports, dashboards, forecasts, and analytical models.
- Produce management reporting covering:Cash flow forecasting
Asset and depreciation reporting
Budget versus actual analysis
Profit and loss and balance sheet reporting
Operational performance reporting- Gather reporting requirements from finance and business stakeholders and translate them into reporting solutions.
- Collaborate with technology teams to extract, validate, and reconcile data from ERP platforms, databases, APIs, and other systems.
- Design and enhance reporting solutions using Power BI, SQL, Excel, and related analytics tools.
- Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial and operational data.
- Support reporting automation and process improvement initiatives.
- Participate in ERP, reporting, and digital transformation projects.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis and reporting support to business stakeholders.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in financial reporting, business intelligence, data analytics, or related functions.
- Experience within the shipping, maritime, transportation, logistics, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and corporate finance concepts.
- Advanced experience with Power BI and Power Query.
- Strong SQL skills with the ability to write and optimize queries for reporting and analysis.
- Experience working with ERP systems and integrating data from multiple business applications.
- Proven experience supporting system implementation, ERP migration, or digital transformation initiatives.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both finance and technical teams.
- Experience with SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar ERP platforms.
- Knowledge of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).
- Experience working with APIs and automated data integration.
- Understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, or data modelling concepts.
