About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and technically strong Field Service Engineer (Application) to support semiconductor process and application activities at customer sites. This customer-facing role focuses on equipment qualification, process optimization, troubleshooting, and technical support to ensure successful tool performance and customer satisfaction.
Comprehensive training will be provided on relevant equipment platforms and applications.
Key Responsibilities- Attend weekly meetings and technical presentations.
- Prepare and generate technical reports and documentation.
- Drive the adoption of new technologies through FOAK (First-Of-A-Kind) tool qualifications, demonstrations, evaluations, and process integration activities.
- Present technical updates during monthly Area of Focus meetings and Quarterly Business Reviews.
- Support on-site equipment installation, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Act as the liaison between customers and internal business units to ensure customer requirements are effectively addressed.
- Execute process optimization, yield enhancement, and productivity improvement projects.
- Support new equipment acceptance and qualification activities.
- Perform recipe creation and editing for process applications.
- Provide process-related support and troubleshooting during tool qualification and production activities.
- Perform ad-hoc shift work and support activities when required.
- Diploma / Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Experience in the semiconductor industry is preferred.
- Experience in wet processing applications will be advantageous.
- Experience in machine installation, setup, modification, servicing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.
- Cleanroom working experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills.
- Able to work effectively with both customers and internal teams.
- Willing to travel locally and overseas when required.
- Able to work irregular hours and ad-hoc shifts when required.
- Exposure to advanced semiconductor technologies and industry-leading equipment.
