Business Development Manager (E-commerce/Last Mile)
About the role
We are seeking a Business Development Manager specialising in E-commerce and Last Mile logistics to join Legion Express Pte Ltd. This is a full-time position based in the East Region, offering a strategic opportunity to drive growth and expand our market presence in the rapidly evolving e-commerce and last-mile delivery sector.
As Business Development Manager, you will be instrumental in identifying and capitalising on new business opportunities, building long-term partnerships with e-commerce platforms and retailers, and developing innovative last-mile solutions that meet the growing demands of the digital commerce landscape.This role carries significant responsibility for revenue generation and market expansion, making it a key position within our sales and business development strategy.
Key responsibilities- Identify, research and pursue new business opportunities within the e-commerce and last-mile delivery sectors
- Develop and execute targeted business development strategies to acquire new clients and expand existing customer relationships
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with e-commerce platforms, online retailers, and logistics stakeholders
- Present tailored logistics solutions to prospective clients, highlighting the value proposition of Legion Express services
- Negotiate contracts and service agreements to ensure mutually beneficial terms and successful client onboarding
- Conduct market analysis and competitive research to identify emerging trends and opportunities within the e-commerce logistics space
- Collaborate with operations, sales and customer success teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction
- Prepare detailed business proposals, pitches and presentations for potential clients at all levels
- Track and report on business development metrics, sales pipeline progress and revenue forecasts
- Attend industry events, trade shows and networking forums to generate leads and strengthen market positioning
- 3-5 years of proven business development or sales experience, preferably within logistics, e-commerce, last-mile delivery or related sectors
- Demonstrated track record of successfully identifying new business opportunities and closing significant deals
- Strong understanding of the e-commerce and last-mile delivery industry, including market dynamics and key players
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills with the ability to build mutually beneficial partnerships
- Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, capable of engaging with C-suite executives and operational teams
- Self-motivated and results-driven with a strong ability to work independently and meet ambitious targets
- Proficiency in using CRM systems and sales tools to manage pipeline and track business development activities
- Strategic thinking capability combined with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of logistics operations, supply chain management or distribution networks is highly desirable
- A valid driving licence and willingness to travel within the East Region is essential
