This role demands strategic leadership in managing credit card portfolio, with full accountability for portfolio profitability, growth, credit risk performance. At the same time ensuring alignment with the bank’s strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the Credit Card Portfolio P&L and Balance Sheet: Own and deliver cards portfolio financials end-to-end. Define and execute portfolio growth strategy across different customer segments. Drive revenue from interest and relevant fees incomes, and continuously optimising costs such as funding costs, credit losses and operational expenses.
  • Portfolio growth & performance management: lead data-driven analytics on portfolio performance, including spend, customer rates, activation, attrition and customer lifetime value. Translate data insights into clear business actions across products, marketing and risk teams. Develop KPI frameworks and dashboards to track portfolio health and performances. Balance growth, profitability and risk through disciplined portfolio steering.
  • Revenue Optimisation & Pricing: Optimize interest income, fees through pricing strategies, line management, and behavioural segmentation. Drive revolving balances growth guided by agreed credit risk guardrails. And actively optimize risk-adjusted returns through various portfolio activities.
  • Campaigns & spend stimulation strategy: oversee the design and execution of spend and balance build campaigns. Ensure ROI discipline on promotion and marketing investments. And continuous focus and invest towards highest-yielding segments.
  • Customer experiences & servicing: partner with Customer Center and Operations to enhance customer communications and servicing effectiveness. Identify and resolve customer pain points for relevant customer journeys. Leverage automation, data and platform capabilities to scale without linear demands and costs growth.
  • Regulatory & Compliance Oversight: ensure portfolio strategies and activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure appropriate controls are in place to guide the Cards Portfolio team’s day to day operations.
  • Leadership and stakeholder management: lead and develop a high-performing portfolio management team. Influence internal stakeholders across different functions and level of seniorities to align on the priorities of outcomes. Operate as a core member of the cards leadership team, and contribute to the overall cards business strategy development and execution.

Requirements:

  • 10 to 15 years of proven experiences in credit cards and unsecured lending domain at a senior level (SVP or equivalent).
  • Excellent P&L management skills with demonstrated delivery of revenue and profitability outcomes.
  • Deep expertise in portfolio analytics, customer segmentation, and product lifecycle management.
  • Strong understanding of various credit and operational risks, controls and compliance, and proven ability to work in a highly regulated environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to manage teams and influence stakeholders across various functions.
