Our client is a well-established Japanese trading company. They are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Assistant / Senior Assistant / Officer to join our accounting team. This role offers a great opportunity for individuals who have foundational accounting knowledge and are eager to contribute within a dynamic, fast-paced corporate environment.

【Responsibilities】
  • Handle day-to-day accounting functions including:
  1. Accounts payable and receivable
  2. Payment and collection processing
  3. Reconciliation of accounts
  4. Preparation of journal entries
  • Support accounting activities for administrative departments such as HR, IT, Legal, and Risk Management.
  • Assist in internal control tasks such as:
  1. Balance confirmations
  2. Ledger reviews
  3. Transaction sampling and checks
  • Participate in:
  1. Monthly financial closing
  2. Preparation of internal financial reports
  3. Quarterly consolidation reporting to HQ
  • Maintain a strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.

【Requirements & Preferences】

(Must)
  • Diploma in Accounting
  • 1-3 years of hands-on full sets/partial experience (with end-to-end knowledge) in a complex transaction/trading/MNC environment
  • Inexperienced candidates with a background of an accounting internship in a complex transaction/trading/MNC environment are welcome
  • Knowledge of Singapore Accounting Standards, reporting, and regulatory requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, especially Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to commence work immediately or within 1 month's notice
  • Strong professionalism and mindset with good initiative
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin to liaise with English and Mandarin-speaking stakeholders across
  • Willing to do overtime when required
(Advantageous)
  • Experience working in a Japanese company is highly advantageous!
  • Prior experience in a trading company
  • Experience using SAP
