Job Purpose
The Head of Function(s) leads the relevant department(s) in formulating, developing, implementing and evaluating policies. Additionally, he works collaboratively with the leadership team to review strategic initiatives, monitor corporate governance, manage resource, foster collaborations, and ensure efficient delivery of services.He strategizes and evaluates the organisation’s operation, directs implementation of corporate policies, sets the standards of operational efficiency on service and administration levels, monitors volunteer management, initiates capability development programmes, and networks with various community partners.
As such, he may propose recommendations to be added into drafted policies and supervises staff in analysing current policies and services, and implementing strategies under the framework set out by the department(s) to support the stakeholders’ and meet the organization’s needs.
Principal Occupational Therapist (Clinical) manages clients in specialty and guides staff to be competent in their designated clinical specialty areas. He guides therapist aid, occupational therapists and senior occupational therapists on cases of appropriate complexities.He provides in-depth caregiver training, and coaches caregivers on assisting clients’ in gaining independence. He is responsible for leading the development of new clinical services. He also work as part of collaborative, interdisciplinary teams which include instructors, psychologists, social workers, speech therapists and other staff.

- Conducting Occupational Therapy Assessment
- Providing Occupational Therapy Intervention
- Responsible to provide services and maintain communications with the stakeholders.
- Responsible for Financial Management of the assigned departments
- Masters in Occupational Therapy and possess at least 8 years of work-related experience with relevant exposure in the area of intellectual disability or other related disabilities
- Has practiced as a Senior occupational therapist in relevant clinical settings for at least 8 years with at least 5 year providing clinical supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel (Pivot Tables, Charts, Data Analysis, Macros, VLOOKUP, IF Statements, Power Query, etc.)
