As a Systems Engineer focused on Mechanical and similar integrated platforms, you will be responsible for the end-to-end setup, integration, and testing of mechanical and hardware components. You will work closely with application and system setup teams to ensure smooth system performance.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Hardware & Mechanical Installation
- Mechanical Integration & Calibration
All hardware and mechanical designs will follow the specifications provided by the Product Team
- System Integration & Testing
- Cross-Team Collaboration
Collaborate actively with the Software Engineering Team to align hardware behaviours with software workflows and the System Engineer Team (Application and System setup) to ensure consistency across system configurations and environment readiness
- Troubleshooting & Support
- Documentation
- Vendor & Fabricator Coordination
- Proof of Concept (PoC) & R&D Support
- On-Site Deployment Readiness
- Any Ad hoc duty assigned
Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in mechanical setup, system integration, or hardware installation (Fresh graduates with strong internship experience will also be considered)
- Hands-on experience in assembling and integrating mechanical systems, preferably in kiosk-based or automation solutions
- Familiarity with mechanical drawings and schematics; ability to interpret and execute according to design
- Experience working with biometric devices, sensors, or embedded hardware is a strong advantage
- Comfortable using basic hand tools and measurement equipment (e.g., callipers, levels, multimeters) for on-site installation and calibration
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and hardware issues independently and propose solutions
- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate across departments, including software, system setup, and product teams
- Willingness to travel and support on-site deployments, including overseas assignments, if required
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English
