About this Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development & Commercial Manager – Subsea Solutions to join our Subsea Services - Business Development and Commercial team.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer - Subsea Services, you will develop and deliver new business opportunities in-line with budgeted revenue and margins primarily for Cyan Subsea Division, and with due consideration of the Group. You will also develop relationships and represent Cyan including with Clients, authorities, relevant industry groups and the supply chain.

This is a full-time position based in our Singapore office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be an ambassador for Cyan in our target industries (Oil and Gas, Renewables, Govt / Defence, Environment & Stabilisation.
  • Develop and increase the awareness of Cyan within our target industries, including at appropriate industry forums.
  • Represent Cyan’s Values/Principles at all times.
  • Accountable for the preparation and delivery of commercial proposals for the Subsea Division (ex UK).
  • Accountable for converting tender proposals in to awards, in accordance with the budget expectations.
  • Ensure that commercial proposals are assembled and developed to reasonably maximise the available Cyan group commercial position.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure that our proposals are achievable, and that the risks and opportunities of the projects are identified, acceptable and managed.
  • Manage the prioritisation of business acquisition targets, such that the limited resources of the division are allocated to the priority targets with the best potential for success.
  • Accountable to ensure that appropriate risk identification and mitigation is considered at the tender stage of a project.
  • Follow and comply with Cyan contracting principles and approval limits at all times.
  • Upon award, ensure that a handover process is conducted that provides the projects team with the necessary information to deliver the work.
  • Where necessary, provide commercial assistance to project delivery (e.g. variations, key subcontract package negotiation and

award).

Continuously improve and incorporate lessons learned into the commercial and business acquisition process.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor qualification in Engineering, Science, Commerce, Management, or another relevant field linked to offshore energy industry is desirable
  • Business development and acquisition experience
  • Advanced commercial acumen
  • Contract management experience
  • Extensive industry experience in at least 2 of; subsea oil and gas, renewables, marine / civil maintenance, govt / defence or environment & stabilisation.
