Inside Sales Engineer - Geylang

DNOW is hiring in Singapore for a Inside Sales Engineer within our Valves team.

The person will be responsible for the management of existing contracts with key operators, being the contract focal point managing technical enquiries, contract inventory and general supply related enquires. The position will require developing working relationships with strategic customers and manufacturers to deliver agreed contract outcomes.

The responsibilities of the role will include:

• Action all valve and related sales enquiries to ensure customer requests are met technically and in line with customer expectations. High degree of manufacturer support will assist this activity.
• Prepare customer quotations or respond to tenders ensuring satisfactory contract and technical review has been performed and that overall profitability meets or exceeds the Company objectives
• Actively promote a solution-based approach and maximize all upsell and cross sell opportunities to increase sales volumes.
• Interact with both customers and vendors to complete quote / sales orders and follow them through the invoicing process.
• Ensure high value quotations (within assigned limits) have been reviewed and approved by the Sales Director or Area Director prior to submission.
• Provide technical and product sales and support to customers this will be primarily inside sales with some outside sales requirements to visit customer site.
• Actively follow up on outstanding and expired quotations and report status during market activity meetings
• Actively provide leads to external sales team members.
• Place purchase orders to meet customer requirements, inventory levels to the position’s purchase limit as set by the Company.
• Assist in the implementation of sales strategies as directed by the Sales Director/Area Director.
• Actively promote the broader product range to customers during phone conversations.
