Senior Field Service Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Field Service Engineer to carry out maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning for power generation and related systems. You’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth operations across sites, including client-facing service delivery, technical support, and hands-on repairs of diesel and gas generators.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine servicing, troubleshooting, and repair of diesel/gas generators, switchboards, and control panels
Handle testing and commissioning for newly installed equipment
Carry out on-site diagnostics and propose rectification solutions
Respond to breakdowns and urgent service calls
Assist with engine overhauls, load testing, system upgrades, and retrofits
Interpret electrical diagrams, perform wiring, and conduct control system checks
Coordinate with project and workshop teams to plan and execute service jobs
Prepare accurate service and technical reports
Maintain a high standard of safety and compliance during all field activities
Build rapport with clients and provide responsive, professional support

Requirements:

Diploma or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering
At least 5 years of experience in servicing diesel or gas generator sets
Strong knowledge in generator systems, electrical troubleshooting, and engine components
Able to read electrical and mechanical diagrams
Experience in FAT/SAT, commissioning, and site testing is advantageous
Hands-on, solution-oriented, and customer-focused
Willing to travel locally and regionally for service assignments
