- Conduct thorough assessments of residents' physical conditions, functional abilities, and rehabilitation needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessments, goals, and evidence-based practice, considering resident preferences and medical history.
- Provide hands-on physiotherapy treatments, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, gait training, and modalities, to residents.
- Assess and manage residents' pain through various techniques, such as therapeutic exercises, electrotherapy, and heat/cold therapy.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of evidence-based rehabilitation programs and protocols.
- Educate residents and their families on rehabilitation goals, treatment plans, and home exercise programs.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution.
- Valid license or registration to practice as a physiotherapist in the appropriate jurisdiction.
- Proven experience as a physiotherapist, preferably in a geriatric or long-term care setting.
- In-depth knowledge of physiotherapy principles, techniques, and evidence-based practice.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Strong documentation and record-keeping skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality improvement initiatives in healthcare.
- Be prepared to perform other duties as assigned.
