Lab Manager (Chemical)

Job Summary

Lead daily laboratory operations and projects to support customer needs and business goals. This role ensures quality, compliance, safety, and continuous improvement while driving innovation and team development.

• Oversee daily lab activities, including analytical testing and timely delivery of Certificates of Analysis (CoA)
• Lead and support lab projects aligned with business objectives
• Maintain and improve ISO management systems (ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, ISO17025)
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, control plans, and FMEA processes
• Manage CoA preparation processes and analytical service operations
• Support new product formulation and small-scale blending activities
• Provide troubleshooting and incident management to minimize disruptions
• Act as the main contact for customers and suppliers on technical matters
• Drive adoption of new analytical methods and technologies
• Ensure adherence to Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) standards
• Optimize lab processes, costs, and operational efficiency
• Oversee equipment upgrades and capital investments
• Train and develop laboratory staff
• Support continuous improvement, safety, and productivity initiatives

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Engineering
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisory role (quality control or chemical analysis)
