Curatorial Research Assistant (Culture)

Job Details

Salary: Up to $ 3,600 per month

What you will be working on?

• Research and compilation of content for exhibitions and acquisitions using primary and secondary sources.
• Assist with preparation and editing of exhibition texts, manuscripts, bibliographies, captions, and footnotes.
• Assist with the conceptualisation and development of digital/multimedia/interactive content.

• Assist with publications and/or collaterals (e.g. catalogue, exhibition guide, trail kit) from conceptualisation, research, and writing, to proof reading, printing and distribution tasks.
• Assist with organising talks/symposia or related curatorial programmes.

• Assist curators with acquisitions including loans, purchases, and donations, preparation of acquisition documentation, acquisition justification forms and other administrative documents.
• Assist with cataloguing of collections.

• Administrative tasks e.g. compilation of artefact lists, image /multimedia orders, archiving of photographs, filing relevant documentation.
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
• Any other duties as assigned by the management.

• Singaporean only
• Minimum degree in art history, history, anthropology, museum /curatorial studies, Southeast Asian studies, or in another related subject.
• Strong analytical, writing, and research skills in English. Proficiency in an Asian language would be advantageous.
