Junior Medical Technologist (Public Healthcare)

Our esteemed client is seeking a dedicated and motivated Junior Medical Technologist to support clinical diagnostic services in lung function testing, allergy testing, and sleep studies within a healthcare environment.

Job Scope:

• Perform pulmonary function tests (e.g. spirometry, diffusion capacity, bronchial provocation) and allergy tests as required
• Ensure accurate documentation, preliminary reporting, and timely submission of results
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring all instruments are in good working condition
• Manage lab inventory, consumables, and ensure proper stock levels
• Coordinate with doctors, clinics, and wards on test scheduling and urgent requests
• Support daily lab operations and ensure smooth workflow
• Assist with patient registration, appointments, and handling enquiries
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain service standards

Job Requirements:

• Diploma in Biomedical Science / Biotechnology or equivalent
• Preferably with 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in a clinical or laboratory setting
• Comfortable working in a patient-facing environment, including paediatric cases
• Good communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
• Proficient in basic computer applications
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and willing to learn
