Your Job

As a Technician, Metrology (AQP), you will support new product introduction (NPI) activities by providing accurate measurement, inspection, and data analysis throughout the product development lifecycle. This role plays a key part in ensuring product quality and readiness for manufacturing.

Our Team

You will be part of the Advanced Quality Planning (AQP) team in Molex Singapore, working closely with Product Design, Manufacturing, Process, and Quality teams to support successful product launches.

What You Will Do
  • Perform inspection, measurement, data analysis, and reporting to support NPI projects
  • Develop and execute measurement programs, inspection gauges, and fixtures
  • Conduct Measurement System Analysis (MSA), capability studies, and statistical analysis
  • Update and maintain quality documentation such as inspection checklists, control plans, and SOPs
  • Review engineering drawings and highlight potential dimensional or specification issues
  • Extract historical quality notifications and lessons learned to support design reviews
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • NITEC in Engineering or a related technical field
  • Fundamental knowledge of metrology tools and GD&T concepts
  • Ability to work independently with good organization and time management skills
  • Strong problem-solving capability and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
What Will Put You Ahead
  • Diploma or background in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience in a laboratory, metrology, or NPI environment
  • Hands-on experience with vision measurement systems
  • Familiarity with 3D CAD models and engineering drawings
  • Experience using statistical software such as Minitab

Basic Salary : S$1250
Housing Allowance : S$200
Transport Allowance : S$70

Attendance Bonus : S$50

Contract Terms
  1. Nature of work: Permanent job, shift rotation is required.
  2. Working days per week : 5 Days
  3. Must be at least 18 years old
  4. Must strictly follow the 3 work rules stated below:
  • Cannot work more than 12 hrs per day
  • Cannot work more than 60 hrs per week
  • Cannot work more than 6 days continuously

9hr - 5 days work week

9hr - 2 Rotating Shift (2T2S)

Morning Shift / 8.30am – 5.30pm / Mon – Fri

Night Shift / 11.30pm – 8.30am / Mon – Fri

9hr - 3 Rotating Shift (3T3S)

Morning Shift / 8.00am – 5.00pm / Mon – Fri

Afternoon Shift / 2.00pm – 11.00pm / Mon – Fri

Night Shift / 11.00pm – 8.00am / Mon – Fri

12hr - 2 Rotating Shift (2T2S)

Morning Shift / 8.30am – 8.30pm / Mon – Thu

Night Shift / 8.30pm – 8.30am / Mon – Thu

Morning Shift / 8.30am – 8.30pm / Tue – Fri

Night Shift / 8.30pm – 8.30am / Tue – Fri

12hr - 2 Rotating Shift (3T2S)

Morning Shift / 8.30am – 8.30pm / As per working schedule

Night Shift / 8.30pm – 8.30am / As per working schedule

A work week is defined from Monday to Sunday where Saturday is considered as off day and Sunday is rest day. For all working shifts except for 3T2S shift, Sunday shall be a rest day and all other non-working days shall be off days. For 3T2S shift, rest day and off days are as per working schedule.

  1. There will be eleven paid gazetted Public Holidays in a year.

  13. Shift Allowance earnings will depend on shift schedule and management discretion
  14. Overtime & calculation (depend on shift schedule and management discretion)
  15. Average 60 hours of OT per month
  16. 1.5 Overtime calculation = ((Basic Salary x 12 months) / 2210 hours) X OT hours X 1.5
  17. PH & Rest day Overtime calculation = ((Basic Salary x 12 months) / 2210 hours) X OT hours X 2.0
  18. Annual Leave Benefits (Calendar year basis)

  • Annual leave entitlement starting from 10 days of annual leave
The employee can return to their home country during approved vacation leave, going on holiday or in emergency situations, without penalty, wage withholding, job loss or other such measures.
  1. The employee will be provided with uniforms where required.
  2. The employee will be covered under the Company's insurance plan.
  3. The employee (or their families) should not pay any recruitment fee, deposit, bonds, other valuable personal possessions in lieu of fees, or employment fee to be paid to the employer, supplier, labor recruiter or employment agency to keep their job including any government levies.
  4. The employee will not pay transportation and lodging expenses from the home to host country. Return transportation and lodging costs are paid by the employer upon successful completion of the contract or early termination with adequate notice.
  5. No mandatory savings programs through employer or agents are allowed.
  6. The employee can associate freely and bargain collectively where allowed by law.
