Assistant Automation Engineer [PLC]

• Position: Assistant Automation Engineer
• Working hours: 8:30am - 5:30pm (Mon-Friday)
• Working Location : Buroh Street, West Connect Building (Nearest Mrt :Boon Lay)
• Salary : Basic up to $2000 + OT

Job Summary: The Assistant Automation Engineer must be equipped with fundamental electrical systems, generator controls systems and modules, PLC modules, SCADA, HMI and industrial controls knowledges.

Candidate will support the design, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of automation systems used in industrial processes, electrical control panels, and generator control systems. The role also involves assisting in PLC programming, control panel troubleshooting, FAT/SAT testing, site commissioning and ensuring system reliability, efficiency, and compliance with project specifications and safety standards as specified.

Key Responsibilities:

• To assist in preparation and review of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and single-line diagrams.
• Assist and support the development of PLC I/O lists, control logic diagrams, and control philosophy.
• Assist and prepare bill of materials (BOM) for procurement.
• Know-how on installation of components such as PLCs, HMIs, relays, power supplies, devices and communication modules.
• Perform functional testing of PLC I/O signals, alarms, and interlocks
• Support PLC program downloading, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure wiring and labeling comply with approved engineering drawings and standards.
• Assist in preparing FAT/SAT procedures and checklists for relevant types of control panels including site participation as required including commissioning.
• Record test results and support FAT documentation and reporting.
• Assist in troubleshooting & diagnosing electrical and automation system faults with recommendation and resolution methodology.
• Adherent to documents controls, revision tracking and updates

Requirements:

• ITE/NTEC in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or Mechatronics.
• 1–2 years of work experience in automation systems or electrical control panels (Training provided).
