Principle Backend Developer- Java - WLY

Our client is looking for a seasoned Java developer to take charge of developing critical components for an advanced mobile commerce platform, focusing on checkout workflows, payment integration, transaction processing, and fund reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive end-to-end development of essential application modules, ensuring seamless interaction with multiple payment methods and settlement systems.
• Translate feature requirements into efficient, maintainable code; meet project timelines; document technical designs; actively participate in requirement reviews and analysis.
• Resolve complex technical problems, assess new technology options, enhance system throughput and reliability, and offer expert troubleshooting support during development cycles.

Qualifications:

• Experience with cross-border or international payment processing is a plus.
• 3 to 8+ years of hands-on experience in Java application development with strong core programming skills. Demonstrated ability to independently design, architect, and implement key software components.
• Deep familiarity with Java design principles and practical use of design patterns; mastery of foundational Java capabilities including collections handling, concurrent programming, and I/O operations.
• Expertise in popular Java ecosystems and frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, MVC frameworks, ORM tools like Hibernate or MyBatis, etc.
• Skilled in deploying and managing caching layers using tools like Redis, Memcached, or Couchbase; adept at cache strategy design and execution.
• Strong understanding of relational databases with the ability to optimize queries and schema designs; experience with Oracle and MySQL environments is essential.
• Comfortable working in Unix-like systems; proficient in deploying Java applications on servers like Tomcat; knowledge of shell scripting or Python scripting is advantageous.
• Demonstrates initiative, methodical problem-solving skills, rapid learning capability, and resilience when managing high-pressure challenges.
• Prior involvement in online retail or digital commerce projects preferred; experience building scalable solutions for high-traffic platforms is beneficial.
