Assistant Director, Youth Development & MClub

Job Summary

The jobholder (2-year contract) supports the Director in leading and operationalising MENDAKI’s youth development and MClub strategies.

The jobholder is responsible for translating strategic priorities into effective programmes, partnerships, and operational plans that support youth development outcomes.

The role ensures strong programme delivery, stakeholder engagement, and team performance across both Youth Development and MClub functions.

The incumbent is expected to work between 8:30 am and 6:00 pm on weekdays and may be required to work over weekends and public holidays to support organisation events.

Key Responsibility Areas

• Support the development and execution of strategies for Youth Development and MClub.
• Translate strategic directions into actionable workplans and initiatives.
• Monitor progress and ensure alignment with organisational goals.

• Oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of youth programmes and MClub initiatives.
• Ensure programme quality, relevance, and impact.
• Drive improvements and innovation in programme delivery.

• Develop and manage partnerships with community organisations, institutions, and corporate partners.
• Engage stakeholders to strengthen programme reach and effectiveness.
• Support collaboration across internal departments.

• Relevant degree from a recognised institution.
• 6–8 years of relevant experience in youth development, programme management, or community engagement.
• Experience in leading teams and managing programmes at scale.
• Strong stakeholder management and partnership development skills.
• Good understanding of youth trends and community needs.
• Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
