Job Scope:
- Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance on machinery, forklifts, and tools.
- Diagnose faults and perform repairs promptly to minimize equipment downtime.
- Ensure machinery and vehicles are functioning according to safety and operational standards.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Replace or repair faulty parts, including belts, motors, gears, hoses, etc.
- Work closely with production staff to understand and solve recurring issues.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, parts used, and service history.
- Report any major breakdowns or equipment defects to the supervisor immediately.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools and workshop equipment.
- Monitor inventory of spare parts and assist in reordering when needed.
- Comply with company safety regulations and use proper PPE at all times.
- Ensure that equipment maintenance is done in accordance with statutory and company safety standards.
- Assist in installation of new machines or equipment when required.
- Support mechanic helper in training and task delegation.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, maintenance, and repair procedures
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair various types of industrial machinery and equipment.
- Hands-on experience with equipment installation, repair, and upgrades.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
