Field Engineer - Commercial Vehicle Aftersales

As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a Field Engineer to support our aftersales operations and ensure the reliability and performance of our commercial vehicle fleet.

• Provide on-site technical support, troubleshooting, and diagnostics for BYD commercial electric vehicles.
• Support service centres and customers in resolving complex technical issues efficiently.
• Liaise with BYD HQ engineering and technical teams on product issues, root cause analysis, and solutions.
• Work closely with LTA, Public Transport Operators (PTOs), and fleet customers to support operational and technical requirements.
• Conduct vehicle inspections, fault analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist in commissioning, testing, and handover of new vehicles.
• Deliver technical training and guidance to service teams, dealers, and customers.
• Monitor vehicle performance and provide feedback for product improvement.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of technical cases, service reports, and maintenance records.
• Support warranty claims assessment and technical validation.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in automotive aftersales, field service, or technical support.
• Experience with commercial vehicles, EV systems, or heavy vehicles is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and diagnostic skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in English and Chinese is preferred to liaise with English and Chinese speaking stakeholders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel).
• Hands-on, independent, and willing to travel for on-site support.
