Role Overview:
The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager will lead the QA function within the IT department to ensure delivery of reliable, secure and compliant financial systems and applications. This role will oversee testing processes across all trading platforms, wealth management systems, from front office, middle office to back-office systems to upload the highest standards of availability and accuracy and ensure the delivery of superior software products.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Process- Develop, implement and continuously improve the company’s QA strategies, methodologies and processes across IT projects.
- Champion a shift-left testing approach, integrating QA processes early in the SDLC.
- Lead and mentor the QA team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability and compliance.
- Oversee the full cycle of testing: planning, test case design, execution, defect tracking and closure.
- Ensure adequate testing coverage for mission critical financial systems, including functional and non-functional testing.
- Identify, document and track software defects and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Ensure proper use of automation frameworks, tools, and technologies to optimize efficiency.
- Drive the adoption and expansion of test automation to increase test coverage and reduce manual effort.
- Establish quality metrics and KPIs to measure software/system reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with development, production management, and other stakeholders to align QA initiatives with organizational goals.
- Communicate testing status, risks and issues clearly and proactively to all relevant stakeholders.
- Provide detailed quality metrics and test reports to senior management and project teams.
Requirements:
Education & Experience- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 7–10 years of IT/QA experience, with at least 3–5 years in a QA leadership role.
- Proven experience in software testing, test automation, performance testing, and QA methodologies.
- Expertise in various software testing methodologies & test automation frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of QA tools (e.g., Selenium, JMeter, Postman, Jira, TestRail, JMeter etc), relational DBs and SQL scripts.
- Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms.
- Strong leadership, team management, and coaching abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication skills to interact with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality excellence.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
