Entry level _Data center Operator_Contract

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor data center infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, and network equipment.
• Perform regular system checks and proactively identify issues.
• Handle backup and recovery operations as per schedule.
• Support server deployment, cabling, racking, and patching of equipment.
• Coordinate with IT teams for hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Log and escalate incidents and service requests in a timely manner.
• Maintain environmental controls including power, HVAC, and fire suppression systems.
• Ensure data center physical security and enforce access policies.
• Perform shift handovers with proper documentation and communication.
• Support compliance with data center policies, safety procedures, and industry best practices.

Requirements:

• Nitec , Higher Nitec,Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in data center operations or IT infrastructure support.
• Familiarity with Windows/Linux server environments.
• Knowledge of network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls).
• Understanding of backup, storage, and disaster recovery practices.
• Basic knowledge of virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) is a plus.
