Investment Research Analyst - Job Description
Location: Singapore, CBD area
Key Responsibilities:
- In-Depth Investment Research and Analysis: Conduct comprehensive, in-depth research and financial analysis on a broad range of assets, including equities, fixed income, alternatives and private markets.
- Financial Modeling and Valuation: Develop and maintain financial models and conduct valuation analysis to assess investment opportunities and risk exposures.
- Strategy and Allocation: Contribute to the development and execution of multi-asset allocation strategies, combining bottom-up research and tactical allocation to meet investment objectives.
- Due Diligence: Perform financial and commercial due diligence for potential investments, including selective transactions and projects.
- Reporting and Recommendations: Prepare research reports, investment recommendations, and executive briefings for senior management, investment committees, and external authorities to enable informed decision-making.
- Market Monitoring: Continuously monitor market trends, economic indicators, and regulatory developments to anticipate investment risks and opportunities and support risk management frameworks.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with portfolio managers and cross-functional teams to refine strategies, improve execution, and champion the adoption of innovative technologies.
Essential Requirements:
- Residency: Must be a Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident
- Education: Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field from a highly reputable university.
- Experience: Proven track record of 10+ years of progressive experience (or equivalent demonstrated expertise) in investment research, financial analysis, portfolio management, or a related role within leading financial institutions. This should include direct experience in delivering in-depth industry research and investment recommendations. Deep understanding of international capital markets and extensive exposure to China's financial landscape and regulatory frameworks.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, valuation, and quantitative analysis, including experience with back-testing and sensitivity analysis. Familiarity with financial databases is highly preferred.
- Certifications: CFA Charter holder preferred.
- Language: Must be fluent in both English and Mandarin (read, speak and write) to effectively conduct research, engage with international and China-based stakeholders (including LPs and government agencies), and present findings.
Remuneration:
Salary: S$6,000–S$9,000, commensurate with experience
