Principal Pharmacist (Hospital)

Responsibilities:

• Lead pharmacy education and training programmes, developing curricula and materials from pre-registration to senior pharmacist levels.
• Train and mentor pharmacists to become advanced generalist specialists.
• Collaborate with internal departments, clusters, and external organisations on cross-disciplinary education initiatives.
• Review medication orders to ensure appropriateness, safety, and compliance.
• Perform medication reconciliation and provide drug information to healthcare professionals.
• Participate in clinical services, including multidisciplinary ward rounds and ambulatory care.
• Dispense medications and counsel patients on prescribed therapies.
• Supervise and review the work of pharmacy assistants and technicians.
• Deliver lectures and contribute to pharmacy education and professional development programmes.
• Support departmental quality improvement and service development projects.

Requirements:

• PharmD or equivalent qualification recognised by the Singapore Pharmacy Council.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant clinical pharmacy experience.
• Demonstrated passion for education, innovation, and professional development.
• Proven experience in developing new clinical services, education frameworks, or training programmes.
• Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
