This role is ideal for someone who combines strong web development skills with a solid understanding of SEO strategy, technical optimisation, website performance, and organic search growth.

• Gather requirements and create the technical architecture required for implementation
• Build, develop and enhance websites and web applications to support and digitalise processes
• Develop and implement WordPress or equivalent websites
• Customise WordPress themes and templates according to client requirements
• Optimise websites for performance, speed, mobile-friendliness, and search engine visibility
• Perform development, maintenance, updates, testing, quality assurance and content management of websites and applications
• Troubleshoot and debug issues related to website functionality, usability, crawlability and indexing
• Collaborate with the design team to ensure a seamless user experience
• Maintain secure coding standards and implement scalable applications
• Evaluate and provide solutions & technical feedback on project requirements
• Ensure security of applications on the internet & intranet are not compromised and free from vulnerabilities
• Upgrade scripts and supporting libraries to the latest secure versions from time to time
• Conduct comprehensive keyword research, competitor analysis, and gap analysis to identify growth opportunities
• Develop and execute SEO strategies to improve Google rankings, organic visibility, and front-page performance for target keywords and articles
• Enhance domain authority through high-quality backlink acquisition and robust backlinking strategies
• Optimise Q&A content, blog posts, landing pages, and forum pages to ensure search engines can easily retrieve relevant phrases and answers
• Implement structured data markup (e.g. schema.org) to enhance search engine understanding and visibility
• Track and analyse website performance using Google Analytics, Search Console, and third-party SEO platforms
• Provide regular reports on key metrics including organic traffic, rankings, site performance, and conversion rates
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in web development and SEO
• Pick up skill sets from team mates on digital content and social media pages management

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Marketing, Communications, or other related fields
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in web development, SEO, or a similar digital role
• Strong knowledge of WordPress and its ecosystem or equivalent
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and a strong understanding of website architecture
• Familiarity with other equivalent website platforms is a plus
• Strong understanding of web development principles, technical SEO, and website performance optimisation
• Proven track record with a portfolio showcasing website projects and measurable SEO results
• In-depth knowledge of Google’s search algorithms, ranking factors, and SEO best practices
• Proficiency in SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, or similar
• Experience with site audits, backlink analysis, outreach, structured data, and SEO strategy development
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
• Possess good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
