Technical Officer (Building Services)

• Oversee day-to-day building operations to ensure facilities remain safe, functional, and suitable for a healthcare environment.
• Carry out routine inspections and maintenance of hospital areas such as wards, patient rooms, operating theatres, and common spaces.
• Identify and manage both preventive and corrective maintenance works for building structures and fixtures, including walls, ceilings, flooring, and furniture.
• Coordinate and supervise contractors and service providers for repair works, renovations, and upgrading projects.
• Ensure all maintenance and repair activities comply with statutory requirements, safety regulations, and internal procedures.
• Respond promptly to incidents, breakdowns, and complaints by assessing issues and recommending practical technical solutions.
• Maintain accurate documentation including maintenance reports, work orders, and service records in the CMMS system.
• Support cost control efforts through involvement in maintenance planning and budgeting activities.
• Provide first-response support during emergencies and ensure timely restoration of operations within agreed SLAs.

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical & Electrical (M&E), or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in building services, facilities maintenance, or engineering operations.
• Practical experience in managing building maintenance works; exposure to healthcare or hospital settings is an advantage.
• Strong technical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to assess issues and propose effective solutions.
• Good understanding of workplace safety requirements and maintenance standards.
• Ability to work effectively with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Comfortable handling documentation, reporting, and maintenance tracking systems.
• Able to respond to urgent situations and participate in emergency call-outs when required.
