IT Director (Web3, Full Stack Exp, Remote/Hybrid)

About the role

As the IT Director, you will be the technical visionary driving my client's web3 OTA custom platform and ecosystem, ensuring seamless integration of NFT products into our membership platform. You’ll lead a decentralized tech team to build a scalable, user-centric solution leveraging Web3, AI, and API integrations, while collaborating with the CEO, Product Manager, and strategic partners to define the technological roadmap and ensure security, compliance, and innovation.

• Platform Development: Oversee the design, development, and deployment of Staynex’s custom Web3 platform, integrating with a strategic partner’s API for seamless functionality (e.g., booking, payments, membership management).
• NFT Product Integration: Architect and implement NFT-based products (day passes, travel/event passes, token passes) into the membership ecosystem, ensuring secure minting, wallet integration (e.g., MetaMask), and user-friendly access via smart contracts.
• AI Innovation: Lead development of AI-driven features (e.g., personalized travel recommendations, social travel matching) using tools like TensorFlow or PyTorch to enhance user experience.
• Team Leadership: Build and mentor a decentralized tech team (target: 5-10 engineers), including hiring senior developers, an AI/ML engineer, and an NFT/blockchain specialist. Manage the current IT full-stack engineer to optimize UI/UX and development workflows.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure robust security for Web3 transactions (e.g., blockchain audits) and compliance with global regulations (e.g., GDPR, SEC for NFTs) in Singapore/Hong Kong markets.
• Strategic Collaboration: Work with the Product Manager to define roadmaps, prioritize features (e.g., social travel tools), and align tech with business goals (e.g., NFT sales, user growth).
• Infrastructure: Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) and DevOps (Kubernetes, CI/CD) for scalability and reliability of the decentralized platform.
• Innovation Leadership: Stay ahead of Web3, NFT, and AI trends, advising the CEO and Chairman (founder) on tech opportunities to differentiate Staynex in the travel industry.Stay ahead of Web3, NFT, and AI trends, advising leadership on differentiation opportunities.

• 5+ years in tech leadership, with 2+ years in Web3/blockchain startups or fintech/travel tech.
• Proven experience building scalable platforms and leading remote/decentralized teams.
• Expertise in Ethereum/Solidity, NFT minting, smart contracts, and wallet integrations.
• Hands-on AI/ML experience (TensorFlow, PyTorch, recommendation systems, personalization).
• Full-stack proficiency (React (UI/UX Focused), Node.js, Python, REST/GraphQL APIs) with API integration.
• Cloud/DevOps skills: AWS/Azure, Kubernetes, CI/CD for decentralized apps.
• Strong leadership and mentorship capabilities (scaled teams of 5–20+).
• Domain knowledge in travel/hospitality tech or NFT marketplaces (e.g., booking systems) or NFT marketplaces would be an advantage
• Excellent communication, startup mindset, hands-on coding ability.
• Bachelor’s/Master’s in computer science or related field (or equivalent experience).
