About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Database Administrator with deep expertise in Exadata, RAC, performance tuning, and database operations. The ideal candidate will bring extensive hands-on experience in managing mission-critical databases in complex production environments, with strong technical leadership, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.

• Manage and administer large-scale Oracle Exadata environments, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance.
• Perform installations, upgrades, patching, and migrations of Oracle databases and Exadata systems.
• Conduct database health checks, monitoring, and proactive performance tuning to optimize efficiency.
• Administer and troubleshoot RAC, ASM, Dataguard, and GRID Infrastructure.
• Implement and support backup and recovery strategies using RMAN, datapump, and export/import utilities.
• Automate routine DBA tasks using scripting and database automation tools.
• Collaborate with development teams to analyze and resolve database-related issues.
• Provide 24x7 production support and act as an escalation point for critical incidents.
• Maintain compliance with ITIL-based Change/Release Management processes.
• Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing.
• Work closely with offshore vendors and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations.

• 10–12 years of production support experience as an Oracle DBA, with at least 6 years of hands-on experience with Exadata.
• Proven track record managing high-performance, high-capacity databases in critical environments.
• Strong expertise in Oracle 11gR1/R2 RAC including build, administration, troubleshooting, and tuning.
• Hands-on experience with Clusterware (GRID Infrastructure), ASM, and Dataguard administration.
• Skilled in SQL & database-level performance tuning, backup, and recovery.
• Proficiency in Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control for monitoring and management.
• Strong knowledge of Solaris, Linux, and AIX OS, with advanced shell scripting skills.
• Ability to work in a 24x7 global support model.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and coordination skills with a collaborative mindset.
• Experience with database automation, ITIL processes, and offshore vendor management.
• ITIL Foundation certification preferred.
