HR Payroll Assistant Manager
About the Role
Our client, a trusted brand, is looking for a detail-oriented and driven HR Payroll Specialist who also enjoys being the engagement HR to drive engagement activities. This is an individual contributor role.
You will be responsible for ensuring smooth and accurate payroll processing, maintaining HR data integrity within the HRIS system, and delivering insightful HR reports and analytics to support business decision-making. In addition, you will partner closely with stakeholders to support performance and training initiatives, and contribute to employee engagement activities.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, systems, and people processes, yet also have opportunities to be involved in HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance overall employee experience and HR effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll & HRIS- Manage end-to-end monthly payroll processing (~200 employees), ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
- Verify payroll inputs including attendance, overtime, allowances, and deductions; perform payroll reconciliation and reporting.
- Maintain and update employee data in HRIS (Timesoft), ensuring accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Generate HR dashboards and analytics to support decision-making and system enhancements.
- Prepare regular and ad-hoc HR reports (headcount, turnover, cost analysis, etc.) using Excel and HR systems.
- Analyse HR data to support management reporting and business insights.
- Support performance management cycles, including goal setting and appraisal coordination.
- Coordinate training programmes, track completion, and maintain training records.
- Support both HQ-mandated and local development initiatives.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee queries related to payroll, policies, and benefits.
- Support onboarding, offboarding, engagement initiatives, and HR projects.
- Degree in Human Resources or related discipline
- At least 8 years of HR payroll & generalist experience, with exposure to operational HR.
- Strong working knowledge of the Singapore Employment Act and HR best practices
- High level of initiative, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills — able to engage across all levels
