Position Overview
We are seeking a full-time Ballet Instructor with a strong grounding in the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus to join our faculty with immediate effect.
This role is suited for a teacher who is serious about their craft, holds high personal standards, and is committed to the long-term development of students within a structured training environment.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver structured, syllabus-driven ballet classes in accordance with RAD standards.
- Prepare and coach students for RAD examinations, ensuring technical accuracy and consistency.
- Maintain a focussed, disciplined and nurturing classroom environment that supports steady progress.
- Monitor student development closely and address gaps in technique with clarity.
- Contribute to rehearsals, performances, and studio programming as required.
- Work collaboratively with the faculty to uphold the studio’s standards and expectations.
- RAD CBTS (Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies)/CDT (Certificate in Dance Teaching).
- Strong understanding of classical ballet pedagogy and progression within the RAD syllabus.
- Experience in teaching children and young dancers.
- Be familiar with teaching all levels, from Toddler Ballet classes through to RAD Intermediate level (at a minimum). Being comfortable with teaching RAD Advanced levels (from Advanced Foundation through to Advanced 2 is a plus).
- Upholds integrity, strong work ethic, reliability, and consistency — this is non-negotiable.
- Professional, composed, and clear in both teaching and communication.
