Food Technologist, Research & Development (Apr to Sep/Oct Period)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Liaise with external lab on products shelf life validation
- Provide prompt advice on the sealed and opened shelf life of finished and semi-finished products
- Product ingredient labelling
- Perform Nutri-Grade calculation
- Assist in generating new product ideas and recipes
- Modify and improve existing recipes to attain longer shelf-life objectives
- Conduct troubleshooting when product quality issues arise during production
- Setting SOPs and Product Guidelines for QA/QC and mass production
- Liaising with QA/QC in adhering to Singapore regulations and any new requirements
- Identify, verify and advise chefs on ingredients specifications from suppliers
- General recording and filing of new ingredients testing records
- Monitoring the use of additives in both recipe and large-scale production
- Other ad-hoc duties as assigned
KEY SKILLS:
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong numerical and calculation skills
REQUIREMENTS:
- Any diploma or degree in food science, biochemistry, nutrition, food engineering, food technology
- Experience in food & beverage industry
