Senior Data Analyst

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain and ensure accurate and timely updates of tonnage/cargo lists for both the vessel markets.
• Provide regular market intelligence, research insights, and updates to support client engagement and decision-making.
• Review and validate daily and weekly reports to ensure data integrity, consistency, and accuracy.
• Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from multiple data sources to support various analytical and research projects.
• Review SQL queries and tables to ensure database accuracy, reliability, and proper data structure.
• Collaborate closely with the main research desk to align market views, analysis, and forecasts.
• Develop and maintain forecasting models to assess market volumes and trends.
• Continuously review reports and dashboards to ensure they remain relevant, accurate, and aligned with evolving market conditions.
• Support brokers in the negotiation and fixing of vessels, providing timely market information and operational assistance throughout the deal process.
• Update and maintain comprehensive market information, actively gathering market intelligence to support commercial decisions.
• Prepare presentation materials and deliver market briefings to clients when required.

Job Requirements :

• Articulate with good inter-personal skills.
• Data and Information analytical skills
• Proficient in SQL and Microsoft Excel
• Basic knowledge in Python or any coding language will be advantageous
• Possess strong communication skills and customer oriented.
• Able to work independently
• Self-motivated and driven
• Knowledge on international trade, commodities and shipping is not necessary but will be advantageous.
